OH CRAP! i went to the METALLICA CONCERT!!! it was on the 9th. sorry i couldn't get to u guys sooner. but still, HOLY CRAP! it was so freakin' LOUD!!!! it was my first real metal concert. the opening acts were Volbeat, a danish band that sounded like a Green Day with vocals that were accented all weird. i was sitting so close to the stage that i could see that the drummer had a Ramones (!) shirt on. the second opener was Virginia's Lamb of God and they were AWESOME! it was a death metal band whose drummer used both bass drums equally (in other words, his feet were doing a supersonic double kick the whole time) the singer was real cool guy. the bassist was... BEYOND WORDS. he was so amazing. like seriously, for you maiden maniacs out there, he was just as good, if not better, than Steve Harris! no joke! then out came Metallica in a fury of hypersonic riffs and tons of pyrotechnics. they broke into that was just your life, then did hit the lights, master, end of the line, one, my apocalypse, and many others. then for the encore, they did SEEK & DESTROY!!!!!!, which is now my favorite Metallica song. it was over before i wanted it to!
a week after, Megadeth came, but i couldn't go oh well! it wouldn't have been as good.
